Eyelash extensions can change the appearance of someones face dramatically. These tiny, high quality plastic hairs can create the illusion of a more symmetrical and proportional face.
You can ask yourself questions like -
Do i want my eyes closer together or further apart?
Do i want to lift my eyes or lower my eyes?
Do i want to make my face wider or thinner?
Lets check out the different lash styles you can achieve below:
NATURAL: Applied to follow the natural pattern of the lash-line and are usually longer towards the 2/3 point of the eye. These will enhance the eyes without changing the shape too drastically. Can be used on any eye or face shape.
OPEN EYE: focuses on longer lashes just in the middle of your eye and more natural sizes beside. This is a good style to open up your eyes and make them appear bigger. Great style for the older clients and people with almond shape eyes to open them up.
CAT EYE: longer lashes are used towards the outside edge of the eyes to give the eyes a longer, exotic look. This style is a good pick for a thin faces and close-set eyes! Creates the illusion of a longer looking eye. This style is usually only recommended on clients that have long and strong lashes on the outter corner.
DOLL EYE: Similar to Open eye, longer lashes towards the middle of your eye but also slighty longer all over. Great style to open up your eyes and make them appear bigger. Great style if you have down-turned eye to open them up/pop or wide-set eyes.
CURLS, THICKNESS & LENGTHS
There are many lash curls, thicknesses and lengths that are at your disposal. Here are the most basic ones.
J-Curl: the most natural curl meaning it’s not very curled. This curl is not one you will use often as most clients prefer to have a little lift with their extensions. You would use this curl if you want a very conservative look.
B-Curl: A simple curl that offers a little more lift than a J-curl.
C-Curl: One of my most popular curls. It is commonly used because it can create an awesome open eye effect without being too dramatic.
D-Curl: My second most popular curl. The trend is to have a higher lift and visible lash line. It provides the most lift and is the most dramatic.
Thickness and length will tend to be up to your technician to decide, as the thickness and lengths they should place on the clients lash, should be able to hold well without it being too heavy, sagging and twisting.
